AI & Automation Build Day for Australian small businesses

You may already be using ChatGPT or Claude and getting useful results. The opportunity is understanding how much further AI and automation can go inside the business—and putting the right foundations in place to use it properly.

In one practical day, we uncover valuable opportunities, configure useful tools or systems, apply them to real work, and put the owner and team in a position to keep building from there.

Share a little context first, then book the complimentary 30-minute discovery call. I will review your answers before we speak so the call can focus on fit, priorities, and whether a Build Day makes sense.

Direct answer

What is a Build Day?

An AI & Automation Build Day is a focused working day that identifies where AI can create value across the business, puts the right foundations in place, and gives the team practical capability—not just recommendations. It is delivered in person in Sydney or remotely across Australia for a fixed A$2,000, with no ongoing retainer required.

Delivery options

The same practical day, delivered where it makes sense

Both formats use the same discover, equip, apply, and enable structure. The difference is how we work together, not the ambition or the fixed price.

Sydney

In person

A hands-on day with the owner and relevant team members in Sydney. Useful when seeing the work, systems, and team context together will help us move faster.

Australia-wide

Remote

A live working day using video, screen sharing, and a shared environment. Available to businesses in Melbourne and across every Australian state and territory.

The day

Discover, equip, apply, and enable

You do not need to know where AI or automation fits beforehand. Discovery is part of the work. We look broadly enough to find the right opportunities, then make practical progress where it will create the most value.

  1. 01 · Discover

    Understand how the business works

We look across the business, how the team currently uses AI, where work slows down, and where better context, tools, or automation could create commercial value.

  2. 02 · Equip

Put the right foundations in place

Where useful, I configure tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, connectors, reusable context, instructions, or an automation layer around the way the team works.

  3. 03 · Apply

Use it on real business work

We put the setup to work on worthwhile tasks and opportunities inside the business. The aim is practical progress, not technology for its own sake.

  4. 04 · Enable

Put the team in the driver’s seat

The owner and team learn how to operate, adjust, and extend what we set up. The written handover captures what was explored, implemented, and worth doing next.

What could the day unlock?

The answer depends on how the business operates. I work across tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, connectors, and automation platforms depending on what genuinely makes sense.

A better AI working environment

Set up Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex with useful business context, reusable instructions, project structure, and clear working conventions.

Connected tools and information

Explore connectors, controlled tool access, and automation platforms that let AI work with the information and systems the business already uses.

Real operational use cases

Apply the setup to useful work such as enquiry handling, follow-up, onboarding, research, internal summaries, documentation, or task coordination.

A path the team can continue

Show the owner and team how to adjust the setup, create repeatable workflows, judge new opportunities, and improve it after the day.

Good fit

You want to move beyond basic AI use

  • Owner-led Australian service business, usually 1–10 people
  • The team uses ChatGPT or Claude but suspects there is much more it could do
  • You want help finding the right opportunities, not just implementing a predetermined workflow
  • The owner or relevant team members can participate and provide real examples during the day

Not a one-day fit

The work needs broader discovery or delivery

  • Enterprise change, platform migration, or complex custom software
  • Work spanning several departments that requires coordinated organisational change
  • No access to source information or the people who run the process
  • A high-risk process that needs formal legal, compliance, or security review

Where it fits in the service ladder

The Build Day combines opportunity discovery, practical setup, real-world application, and team capability in one engagement.

Build Day questions

What is an AI & Automation Build Day?

It is a focused working day that helps an Australian small business see what is possible beyond basic AI use, configure useful foundations, apply them to real work, and leave the owner and team able to keep building from there. It is available in person in Sydney or remotely across Australia.

Do we need to know what we want to automate?

No. Identifying worthwhile opportunities is part of the day. The complimentary introductory call gives us an initial view of the business, but you do not need to arrive with a finished brief or a chosen workflow.

Can you help us set up Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex?

Yes, when those tools suit the business. The day can include business context, reusable instructions, projects, connectors, controlled tool access, and practical ways for the team to work with them. The service is not tied to one AI product.

How much does the Build Day cost?

The fixed price is A$2,000. Any third-party software or unusually high usage costs are identified before they are added. GST treatment is confirmed with the final scope.

Can the Build Day be delivered remotely?

Yes. The Build Day can be delivered remotely anywhere in Australia using video, screen sharing, and a shared working environment. The same A$2,000 fixed price and core structure apply. Sydney businesses can also choose an in-person day.

What will we leave with after the Build Day?

You will leave with a clearer view of where AI can create value across the business, the right tools and foundations configured, practical experience using them on your own work, and a team that knows how to continue. The exact balance between discovery, setup, hands-on application, and automation depends on what will create the most value for your business. You will also receive a written handover with what was established and the recommended next steps.

Do we need to buy new software?

Usually not. The starting point is the tools your team already uses. A new tool is only recommended when it solves a clear limitation and the ongoing cost is justified.

Is ongoing support required?

No. The day includes a documented handover. Follow-on implementation or support is optional and scoped separately.

Can the workshop fee be used toward a Build Day?

Yes. Up to A$195 of a Practical AI Team Workshop fee can be credited toward a Build Day booked within 30 days.
